Pricing
Our pricing is structured as a proportion of the current Zemax OpticStudio licensing cost. We provide fast turnaround for quotation requests, typically responding shortly after submission.
All licenses are annual and include updates and technical support throughout the license period. A one-month free trial is available for evaluation prior to purchase.
Volume Discount: For multiple licenses purchased, you receive increasing discounts applied to all licenses:
2–3 licenses: 10% discount
4–5 licenses: 15% discount
6–7 licenses: 20% discount
8–9 licenses: 25% discount
10 or more licenses: 30% discount
Small Business Discount: Eligible businesses receive a 50% discount for the first three years following their founding date.
Note: The Small Business Discount cannot be combined with volume discounts. Only one discount type may be applied per order.
We understand that many optical design challenges require tailored solutions. That’s why we provide custom software and extension development services. Our pricing structure for custom development is transparent and based on the potential reusability of the solution:
Standardizable Development: If we believe the requested functionality can be generalized and offered as a standard product in our tool portfolio, we do not charge any development cost. The developed tool is then licensed under our regular annual licensing model.
Partially Reusable Development: If parts of the custom solution can be reused in future projects or other tools, we charge 50% of the total development cost.
Highly Specific Development: If the development is highly specialized and unlikely to be reused in other contexts, we charge the full development cost.
Our development costs are fair and efficient—thanks to our extensive existing codebase, we can often keep project budgets low while maintaining high quality.
