Tool Licensing

At YKP Optics, we offer advanced software tools and extensions for Zemax OpticStudio and CODE V to streamline and enhance optical design workflows. Our tools are available through annual licensing, with pricing for individual tools typically ranging between $1000 and $2000.

Each license includes access to updates and technical support during the license period.

We also offer a one-month free trial to let you evaluate the tool before committing.

Volume Discount: For each additional license purchased, you receive a 5% discount, up to a maximum total reduction of 50%.

Small Business Discount: Businesses receive a 50% discount on all licenses during the first three years after their founding date.

Custom Development Models

We understand that many optical design challenges require tailored solutions. That’s why we provide custom software and extension development services. Our pricing structure for custom development is transparent and based on the potential reusability of the solution:

Standardizable Development: If we believe the requested functionality can be generalized and offered as a standard product in our tool portfolio, we do not charge any development cost. The developed tool is then licensed under our regular annual licensing model.nable Advanced Analysis:

Partially  Reusable Development: If parts of the custom solution can be reused in future projects or other tools, we charge 50% of the total development cost.

Highly Specific Development:  If the development is highly specialized and unlikely to be reused in other contexts, we charge the full development cost.

Our development costs are fair and efficient—thanks to our extensive existing codebase, we can often keep project budgets low while maintaining high quality.
